Hi, I’m Ali the Lor
I spoke out because staying silent was its own form of death.
Now, i’m asking you to speak with me.
In late December 2025, millions of Iranians rose up. The regime responded with the deadliest crackdown since the 1979 revolution — tens of thousands killed in days. The internet was shut down. Those who spoke up were hunted.
Ali was one of them. Today he’s displaced in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq — helping other refugee families, speaking out against the IRGC, building bridges between Iranians and Kurds, and calling for a free Iran and a unified Middle East.
The regime wants people like Ali to disappear. Your attention makes sure that doesn’t happen.
How we got here:
In January 2026, I stood on the railroad tracks in my hometown of Dorud, Iran, and recorded this message. I had no plan for what came next. I knew it would probably mean execution.
Within hours, the IRGC was at my door. I grabbed a backpack and ran — walking hundreds of miles through the Zagros Mountains alone, in the snow, with only a hoodie, to reach safety in Iraq.
I left behind everything except my faith in Jesus and my determination to see my country freed from the IRGC.
I’m Ali. I’m Lor. I’m a Christian. I’m a bodybuilder and a gym coach who left behind a home I love, and who is eager to return (with reinforcements).
I’m a refugee who walked across mountains in the snow to get here. I’m a man on a mission. And I’m not done.
“I didn’t leave Iran to be safe. I left to keep fighting from somewhere I could stay alive long enough to take action.”

My story
In January 2026, I stood on the railroad tracks in Dorud, Iran, and asked the world not to forget us. That two-minute video ended the life I knew — but it started something that can’t be stopped.
I’m Ali. I’m Lor. I’m a Christian. I’m a bodybuilder and a gym coach who left behind a good life because I couldn’t accept that life being good only for me. I’m a refugee who walked across mountains in the snow to get here. And I’m not done.
